35% employees won’t be Facebook ‘friends’ with managers

16 November 2015 · Igniyte

Igniyte’s research revealing that 35% of UK employees don’t want to be friends with their managers on Facebook has been featured in Recruitment Buzz.

The study was a look into the social media behaviour of employees and how much they allow their personal and professional social media use overlap.

The research also revealed that 18% of employees didn’t even know if their employer had a social media policy, potentially opening that company up to risk.

The risk of not having social media guidelines in place for employees is detailed in our latest guide, Protecting Your Company’s Reputation From Employee Risk.

Take a look at the full Recruitment Buzz article here for more statistics and download the guide for free here for advice on how to manage the risk posed from your employees.
